Overview

CS Media, a small, founder-led media company, faced significant challenges in acquiring high-paying clients and establishing a compelling brand presence. Initially struggling with client perception and stagnant growth, the company sought to redefine its brand identity and enhance its marketing efforts. This case study highlights my transformative role as Marketing Director, showcasing my ability to scale the brand, lead a marketing team, and drive business growth through strategic initiatives.

Objectives & Scope

The primary objective was to revitalize CS Media’s brand identity and marketing strategies to:

  • Enhance visibility and client engagement.

  • Attract and convert higher-paying clients.

  • Drive long-term business growth through effective marketing campaigns.

This project focused on:

  • Brand Discovery and Development: Redefining the company’s values, mission, and unique differentiators to create a compelling brand identity.

  • Website Redesign and UX Improvements: Enhancing the user experience by overhauling the website’s structure and navigation, making it more client-friendly.

  • Content Calendar Creation: Developing and managing strategic content calendars to ensure consistent messaging and brand presence across social media, email marketing, and the website.

  • Marketing Campaign Execution: Leading a two-month marketing campaign that capitalized on the refreshed brand identity to drive visibility, engagement, and client acquisition.

  • Social Media Strategy: Reworking the company’s social media focus to showcase the entire team’s expertise, shifting the perception of CS Media from a one-person operation to a full-service media firm.

My Role

  • Brand Discovery & Development: Led a comprehensive brand discovery process, defining CS Media’s core values and unique selling points to provide a solid foundation for marketing initiatives.

  • Website Overhaul & UX: Spearheaded the UX  of the company’s website to improve user navigation ensuring a more seamless and engaging client experience.

  • Content Calendar Development: Created detailed content calendars for social media & email. These calendars helped streamline marketing efforts, maintain consistency, and keep the brand’s messaging cohesive across platforms. They also provided a clear roadmap for content production, allowing the marketing team to align posts with strategic business goals.

  • Team Visibility & Social Media: Shifted the focus from the founder to the full 10-person team, improving client perceptions and positioning CS Media as a collaborative, full-service firm.

  • Evergreen Content Creation: Organized a professional photoshoot to refresh the company’s visual identity and create evergreen content that could be used across platforms for months.

  • Client Perception: Clients viewed CS Media as a one-person operation rather than a full-service team, limiting its appeal to higher-paying clients.

  • Unclear Brand Identity: The company’s brand lacked variety and didn’t clearly convey its value proposition.
